The Volkswagen Crafter, introduced in 2006 and built by Daimler AG, is the largest 3 to 5 tonne van sold by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. The Crafter officially replaced the LT nameplate first launched in 1975, although it is known as the LT3 as its production plant code. Starting with its second generation, the LT/Crafter is a rebadged Mercedes Sprinter with a VW powertrain. It has been also sold by Daimler as the Freightliner Sprinter and Dodge Sprinter, Its major European competitors include the Renault Master/Opel Movano/Nissan NV400, Ford Transit, Fiat Ducato/Citroën Jumper/Peugeot Boxer/RAM ProMaster and Iveco Daily. ==Production plants== The Crafter is built in the Mercedes-Benz Ludwigsfelde and Düsseldorf plants, the same German factories where the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is built. The New Generation will be built in Września, Poland, where the company plans to build the factory in Autumn 2014. Planned volume of production is 85 thousand per year, on a 220 ha sized site (300 thousand of square metres under roof). The cost of the new plant is about 3381 million PLN.〔http://finanse.wp.pl/kat,137314,title,We-Wrzesni-powstanie-nowa-fabryka-Volkswagena,wid,16479461,wiadomosc.html〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Volkswagen Crafter」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
